I was thrilled to be invited by Palm Angels to collaborate on their Spring Summer 2020 Fashion Show for Milan Fashion week. Creating one of a kind Lei-like rubber band garlands, bracelets and necklaces for the runway was exciting and rewarding. vestiphobia cuba: RB Dress V: ¡Viva la Goma Elástica!

I am really excited to share my new project with you! I am invited to participate in the Vesiphobia Workshop in Havana, Cuba, 2017. As noted to their website: "This workshop will be led by Cuban and U.S designers specialized in the use of recyclable materials and repurposing practices. The participants will create original “wearable art”, which will be worn by the performers during the show at La Fábrica de Arte Cubano from February 23rd to 26th. This workshop constitutes an essential part of Vestiphobia Cuba and will function as an ongoing installation at the Gallery Taller Gorria, in Old Havana. The workshop will be open to passersby to observe the different stages of the costumes’ development. Participants in the workshop will be in direct contact with the rest of the creative team (actors, performers, singers and artists) to encourage relationships between U.S and Cuban artists. The workshop will be documented and publicized in several local and international venues, providing an extensive coverage of the participants’ work. It will also include a series of documentaries and video art screenings about contemporary fashion trends, sustainability and globalization".

For Cuba's Vestiphobia Workshop I've worked with Cuban artists to create an original garment, RB Dress V: ¡Viva la Goma Elástica!, handmade from rubber bands rubber elastic band, recycled bicycle inner tubes, recycled plastic bottles. Please see post on my Exhibitions page.
